House of Refuge lecture series in Stuart debuts with treasure hunting
STUART — The House of Refuge's annual
Oceanside Lecture Series debuts at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 featuring
Capt. John Brandon on Treasure Hunting in South Florida.
In 1970, at age 16, Brandon began his association with famed treasure hunter and friend Mel Fisher, diving the wrecks of the 1715 fleet. After 40 years, he has accumulated vast experience in all phases of historical shipwreck salvage.
The House of Refuge's Oceanside Lecture Series will run through May.
Tickets of $10 are available at the House of Refuge, 301 S.E. MacArthur Blvd., Hutchinson Island or by calling 772-225-1875. Season tickets are $40 each.
